Shaker Sofa Table: This is a simple elegant case. 30" tall and with a inside depth of 4 inches. It is available in two wood types -maple and cherry and three sizes. It is finished to a gentle sheen on shellac over your choice of stain. The window is 1/4 inch acrylic, or tempered glass at an additional charge. The lid is carefully balanced to stay open with out any hardware fiddly-bits. The pictured case is cherry and finished with medium stain. |

Shaker Coffee Table: Much like the sofa table, but lower and a little wider. (Think swords in the sofa table and the rest of great-great-great-grand' pap's accouterment in the coffee table.) This case stands 18 inches tall and is available in cherry or maple. Tempered glass may also be specified as an upgrade. This is a cherry case finished in a light stain. |

I'm not entirely sure who M. Hepplewhite is / was, nor his or her religious views, but I take the view that the simplicity of this design is certainly Shaker-like. My generic "contemporary" legs are inspired by Hepplewhite. For my economy coffee tables with a similar leg, have a look at Table Display Cases. For Hepplewhite apron frames for drawer cases, have a look at Semi-Custom Drawer Cases.
This style is also available as a sofa table. The pictured table is walnut with an oil finish |
This case is perhaps the easiest to customize. Tell me what you need for dimensions and we will see what we can do. As shown -22 inches by 44 inches, this table runs $450. Tempered glass adds $80

Sheraton Sofa Table: So what is this Sheraton style? Hold on -in 25 words or less- it is a subset of the American FEDERALIST style and it's greatest adherents were Thomas Sheridan and George Hepplewhite, both of whom were English. The finest examples of Federalists architecture come to us from a Scottish architect named Robert Adam. All this went on from 1790 to 1830. Seems to me that America and the English were rather at odds with one another then, but what do I know. It's an elegant and graceful style. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
This style is also available as a coffee table. This finish is medium oak |

William & Mary Coffee Table: I'm a little fuzzy on my history, but you know those old boys in the black britches and funny hats with the buckles? The Pilgrims, and assorted other Protestants and Calvinists? I'm not sure, but this style always strikes me as what these folks had in their homes -or at least more trendy and stylish ones. This being so, the black finish is the most somber, sober, and appropriate -but it's entirely up to you. I can also put a shelf on the stretchers below.
This style is also available as a sofa table. The case is ebonized maple and the lid is oak with medium stain. |

Farmhouse / Country Coffee table: This design reflects the more robust esthetic of the English country side. French and American country-side too for that matter. Please notice that the lid's frame is wider then the cases above. This is to allow for the bigger block at the top of the legs of this more substantial design.
This style is also available as a sofa table. The case shown is maple with a clear poly finish. (The dog is separately available.) |

Cyma / Cabriole Coffee Table: Now this is interesting. Turns out that Cabriole legs were a response to the tiresome need for stretcher bars between the legs of chairs etc. (Notice the Willy & Mary table above.) They are actually the parent of Queen Ann style legs. I would have thought that they were a more modern style.
This style is also available as a sofa table. This case is black "milk paint" (it's actually flatted lacquer) and the lid is medium cherry |

Queen Ann Coffee Table What can or need be said about Queen Ann? Lovely and graceful style. Kind of a pain in the butt to make, but this is my problem -not yours. For some rooms in some homes, the Good Queen Ann is the ONLY way to go.
This style is also available as a sofa table. This case is cherry in medium stain. |
This case may also be customized to a large degree. (Except, the depth of the box must be no more then 3 3/4 inches) As shown, it is 20 inches x 40 inches and costs about $650 with tempered glass. | ||||||||||

The queen's legs come in two flavors. I'm not sure what to call each -I just say that her knees don't show, (#1) or they do (#2). Be sure to let me know your preference.
Ball and Claw legs are available as #2's as well. |

Scroll-work Queen Ann Coffee Table: |
This version of the Queen is a little more elaborate and a little more delicate. The box is a little smaller -18 inches by 36 inches and -it must be said -only 3 inches deep rather the usual 4. The top is a bit fancier with inserted scroll work and the apron also has scrolled details at the ends. This style is NOT available as a Sofa Table This case is maple in medium finish.
Cherry $725.00 Maple $675.00 for tempered glass -add $60.00 |
